Krolyn of Copenhagen produced aluminum Robin Hood figures after World War II. Height: 70 mm. The first tin figures were produced by Krohn Rasmussen in the period 1945-1950, and these were actual copies of German Elastolin and Lineol figures. After World War II all German copyrights and patents were annulled. For his tin figures Krohn Rasmussed used cheap steel scrap from destroyed aeroplanes. Later various other producers took over the production. I started my collection in the summer of 1953 and bought my first tin figures with money I had earned as a delivery boy with the local grocer Skovgård, Spurvegården in Hvidovre. Now I own 96 tin figures – several are doublets. However, I still need 3 figures.
